While we love pets and know your furry friends are part of the family, unfortunately they cannot join you for your stay at Maleny Country Estate. We are lucky to share our beautiful home with an array of native wildlife and the presence of domestic pets especially dogs and cats, threatens their habitat and forces them to abandon their homes and their young.
For this reason we have a strict “No Pets” policy at Maleny Country Estate.
Looking for a weekend away with friends or a cosy couples escape? Our 1, 2 and 3 bedroom cottages are the perfect escape. Set along the middle ridge and upper valley of the estate our cottages and chalets have everything that you will need to feel right at home; equipped with modern appliances, cosy fireplaces, and private nooks to quietly sip your coffee or wine and take in the breathtaking views.
Our cottages and chalets sit in secluded locations through the estate. Each boasts indoor wood fireplaces and carefully curated outdoor firepits, surrounded by towering trees and private gardens, perfectly positioned to soak up the views.
Our Swiss-inspired chalets are perfectly positioned along the upper ridge of the estate, surrounded by an array of towering trees. With a separate queen bedroom on the lower level and 2 further queen beds on the spacious upper open loft, these modern chalets capture the beauty and simplicity of alpine style, with timber features and furnishings throughout, cosy soft furnishings and carefully sourced décor make you feel right at home.
All our accommodation spaces have indoor wood fireplaces and bespoke private outdoor fire pits carefully designed using repurposed materials and hidden among carefully landscaped gardens and rockwork, they are the perfect space to make memories by the firelight.
Down a private tree lined driveway, our old Stone Cottage transports you to another world for an unforgettable romantic getaway. The open plan King space will blow you away, from the ancient floor to ceiling stone walls and exposed timber beams to the luxurious bathroom. Featuring couple’s soaker tub set beneath a gorgeous crystal chandelier.
Our signature accommodation situated high on the ridge at the furthermost point of the property, surrounded by landscaped gardens and towering trees, you will have complete privacy, ready to unwind and relax. With its bespoke outdoor bath and custom firepit this chalet offers a private escape, perfect for a romantic couple’s getaway or for small groups to connect and unwind together.
Situated on the upper ridge of the estate, surrounded by giant native trees, gardens and wildlife. Decorated with deep tones, capturing the elements of the natural surrounds to make you feel connected to nature. Wander down the path to your hidden fire snug, nestled neatly in the old concrete water tank and surrounded by beautiful bird attracting gardens.
Number Three, the sweetest of the lot. Sat in one of the highest points of the ridge, gives spectacular views of whole estate. This chalet has been decorated lovingly with natural beige and gold tones and a white backdrop, to make you feel an immediate sense of home and calm. Our resident wallaby families are frequently seen basking in the afternoon light below the deck, so be sure to look out for them.
Number Four, the quirkiest of the bunch, offers sweet country charm with exposed timber interiors that really warm the space. Positioned at the highest point of the ridge, you are in the perfect position to take in the expanse of the Estate and capture the cool afternoon breeze over the range. Numerous bird-attracting natives have been planted below the deck, bringing in an array of wildlife at all times of the day.
Arguably the best views on the estate. Perched high into the tree line, overlooking the estate and the lake, this 3-bedroom, single level cottage hosts the most expansive views of the valley and range. Simple open plan design with country inspired interiors and hand selected artworks make the perfect place to reconnect with friends or family.
Set back into the slope of the ridge, offering a cool oasis in the summer and a cosy cottage in the winter, this 3-bedroom cottage is our only suite with king single beds, made for those getaways with the family. Enjoy the sun kissed mornings or pastel-coloured sunsets from your private deck or snuggle around the fire in your outdoor sunken fire pit.
Seven has fast become a favourite with guests and our resident King Parrots alike. Drenched in sunlight and oozing country charm, you’ll feel at ease the moment you unpack. With 2 separate bedrooms, polished hardwood floors, full kitchen and 2 private decks, Cottage Seven is the perfect escape for couples and small groups alike.
Cottage Eight oozes quirky charm, with handpicked books, oil paintings and antique furniture pieces. Positioned alongside one of our stunning 100+ year old fig trees and nestled among the trees, you will feel like you have been wrapped up by nature. With 2 separate bedrooms, polished hardwood floors, full kitchen, wood burning fireplace, private deck and outdoor firepit nestled beneath the fig tree, Cottage Eight is the perfect escape for couples and small groups alike.
